Your sleeping position is one of the factors that determines the firmness level you need in a mattress, helping you achieve maximum body relaxation and stable orthopedic support.

For side sleeping: choose a medium or medium-soft mattress that keeps your spine in a proper position and adapts to your body shape. Memory foam in the cover material or as an additional layer in the core supports this function and minimizes turning during sleep.

For back sleeping: this is the healthiest resting position and keeps the spine in a normal alignment. For this position, firm orthopedic mattresses are recommended to provide maximum support and comfort at pressure points, such as mattresses with seven support zones and firmness adapted to those points.

For stomach sleeping: experts increasingly recommend avoiding this position. Although changing sleep habits is difficult, in the long term it has a positive effect on your body and rest. If it is hard for you to fall asleep in another position, choose firm or medium mattresses that support the spine and keep it straight. If a mattress is too soft, the pelvis sinks in and causes the spine to curve.

Personal preferences: think about the characteristics you want from your mattress and don’t compromise. These may include thermoregulating textile properties, hypoallergenic features, material and composition preferences, cooling textiles, etc.

Who will sleep on the mattress: if you are looking for a double mattress for you and your partner but have different firmness preferences, consider models with two cores of different firmness. The core is split into two halves, each with its own firmness level, so you can sleep on your preferred side and your partner on theirs. You can find such mattresses from the Italian manufacturer Magniflex.

Body weight is also an important factor. To achieve maximum orthopedic support, choose a medium-to-firm mattress so you do not sink too deeply into it.

Every product purchased from onesleep.com comes with a manufacturer warranty. It is important to know that each manufacturer has its own warranty terms and conditions.

When receiving the goods you ordered, make sure they are in good condition in the presence of the courier. If you notice cuts or stains, inform the courier and they will issue a delivery note. Claims for goods reported as damaged or contaminated after delivery are not accepted.

When unpacking your mattress, look for the warranty certificate for the purchased product. Different manufacturers place this document in different locations. Some attach it in an outer plastic pocket together with courier documents, others attach it visibly on the outside of the product, and others place the warranty card inside the factory nylon packaging where you can find it after unpacking.

When unpacking a mattress or any other rolled product, do not use sharp objects. Carefully remove the plastic film and allow the mattress to return to its normal size and shape (if it was rolled).

Any mattress or mattress topper delivered in roll form must be unpacked within 30 days of receipt by the customer. Otherwise, the warranty is void.

For double-sided mattresses, using a mattress base (slatted frame) is mandatory, and wooden slats are recommended.

Single and double mattresses must be placed on bed frames with a center support rail (the slat running through the middle of the bed) for additional support and to prevent breakage/deformation.

For some mattresses, it is normal to notice a specific smell immediately after unpacking. Do not worry, it is harmless. Like any new product, the smell disappears within two to three days.
